30 million euro man Bacca matches Milan's expectations
Well, the only thing that could alleviate the Rossoneri fans’ dejected mood is a club’s newcomer: former Seville front-man Carlos Bacca.
The Colombian star joined Milan last summer on a € 30 million deal from Europe League winners side Seville. Bacca has not struggled to establish himself as one of the most terrific Serie A strikers as he is the current team’s top-scorer with four goals in eight matches.
After opening his Serie A account in his San Siro debut against Empoli, Bacca scored a brace in the following home match against Palermo and last Saturday he netted the first away goal of his campaign against Torino. The 29 year old has an impressive scoring average of one goal every 133 minutes.
Apart from being clinical in front of the goal, the former Seville man has also proved to be adaptable in different systems and with different attacking partners.
Throughout his career he has acted mostly as a sole striker, the same role that he played against Torino after making his entrance with 35 minutes still to play in the game. Despite this, he has already partnered both with Luis Adriano and Mario Balotelli.
Before suffering a 4-0 schooling at the hands of Napoli, Sinisa Mihajlovic has urged his strikers to have more hunger and personality.
Nevertheless, it is to take for granted that if all the Rossoneri would have showed the same skills and attitude than the Colombia International, the Diavoli may not be facing another depressing season ahead.
