Paper Talk: Juve make their move on Liverpool midfielder; Former Chelsea target's move to Milan in doubt

According to reports in Corriere dello Sport this morning, Juventus will continue their chase for Liverpool midfielder Emre Can. The 23-year-old German international had looked set to be ready to sign a new deal at Anfield but as of yet nothing has been agreed. The Serie A champions are looking for midfield reinforcements with Sevilla’s Steven N’Zonzi close to finalising a move to Turin.
 
Another Frenchman, Blaise Matuidi has also been linked and so has Chelsea’s Serbian star Nemanja Matic. Club CEO Beppe Marotta and sporting director Fabio Paratici are now weighing up their options ahead of the new campaign.

Juventus look to also be in pole-position to sign Lazio forward Keita Balde. The 22-year-old is looking to leave the Italian capital this summer with his current employers slapping a €30M price tag on him. Il Tempo claims that despite patron Claudio Lotito seemingly playing hard to get, The Senegalese international should get his move to the champions.


Sportitalia meanwhile, claims that Lazio are closing in on a deal for Atalanta play-maker Papu Gomez. The 29-year-old Argentine has been one of the revelations of last season in leading the Bergamo club to the Europa League and the Biancocelesti looked to have beaten off competition from city rivals Roma for his signature.


Milan’s quest to sign Lazio midfielder Lucas Biglia looks to have run into trouble. Calciomercato.com’s Daniele Longo writes that the two clubs are still way apart on the valuation of the 31-year-old who has been a former target for Chelsea.


According to Tuttosport, Milan are in negotiations with Juventus for Brazilian goalkeeper Neto.  The 27-year-old is the favourite to replace Gianluigi Donnarumma who turned down a new contract offer from the club last week.


Inter continue their quest to sign Roma defender Antonio Rudiger. The Nerazzurri are understood to be ready to battle hard to bring the 24-year-old German to the San Siro this summer despite Corriere dello Sport quoting Giallorossi sporting director Monchi who claimed the player was not for sale.
