Liverpool make their long awaited move for Lazio ace
After nearly three years of scouting reports, Liverpool are set to make their move for Lazio frontman Keita Balde. The 22-year-old has failed to agree an extension to his contract in the Italian capital and according to ESPN FC (via The Daily Star) Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is ready to make his assault.
Lazio are desperate to keep hold of their Senegalese star but are aware that to get the maximum return they will need to off-load him this summer or face losing him on a free-transfer next year. This is the second player currently plying his trade in the Eternal City that has been linked with a move to Anfield; reports over the past few days have also stated that Klopp is closing in on Roma’s speedy Egyptian international Mo Salah. It’s understood the Merseyside giants are on the verge of sealing a £40M move for the 24-year-old.
Keita has had a great season for the Biancocelesti and Liverpool will face tough competition from Serie A in their quest to land him. Both AC Milan and Inter are huge admirers of the player and both clubs have already made contact with Keita’s representatives.
