Juventus will use the last two weeks of the transfer window to try to gift Max Allegri with a new midfielder. The 49-year-old coach has asked for two new players for his central area and in the last few hours, attention has once again turned to Belgian international Axel Witsel.
 

It seemed as though the idea of landing the 26-year-old had vanished after the player stated that he wanted to see out the final year of his contract in Russia. Now, according to Tuttosport, contact between the two parties has been re-established and the bianconeri are now confident they can persuade the player to head to Turin before the close of the transfer window on August 31.
