Chelsea tell Lazio price-tag for out of favour defender
The former Torino star joined the Blues in summer 2017 but has been failing to justify his € 24 million price-tag at the Stamford Bridge. Despite a bunch of positive performances, the Italian has failed to have consistency during his time in South-West London and Lazio are now willing to take him back to Italy.
According to the Rome-based paper, Lazio president Claudio Lotito wants to sign the player on loan with option to buy.
Chelsea could be open to selling the player with this formula provided that the Italians will activate their € 10/12 million option to buy at the end of the season.
Talks between the two clubs will begin from the next few days. The January transfer window in Serie A remains open from January the 3rd until the 31st.
