Celtic boss admits he's aware of Arsenal and Chelsea's interest in Dembele
As his side gets ready to host Rosenborg this evening in a Champions League qualifier, Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has admitted that he’s awareof interest from Chelsea and Arsenal for his star striker Moussa Dembele. The 20-year-old, who has a host of top European clubs chasing his signature, remains one of the hottest names on the transfer market and speaking ahead of tonight’s first-leg, The Express quotes Rodgers who stated that;
“I counted the other day, Moussa has been linked with 10 clubs. It was Marseille the other day, I saw Arsenal the other week, there was Paris Saint-Germain, there was Chelsea so there is nothing in it from our perspective. I felt if he progressed the way we thought he'd progress and if he wanted to move any time it would be after the second year.”
He went on to say that; “There is no rush from Moussa's perspective. He is a player that we really want to keep and if anything (an offer) did come in we would assess it."
Chelsea reportedly had a £20M offer turned down in January and it remains to be seen if the Premier League champions or their London rivals make another assault before the deadline next month.
