Arsenal must move quickly for Napoli midfielder says agent
Arsenal have been told by Jorginho’s agent to hurry up in their pursuit of the Napoli midfielder, as it would prove ‘more difficult’ if they left it any longer, according to Football365.
Gunner’s manager Arsene Wenger has already been busy on the transfer front this summer window, bringing in Alexandre Lacazette for £52m from Lyon and also bringing in German left-back Sead Kolasinac from Bundesliga side Schalke 04.
But the French manager has also had his eye out for Serie A man Jorginho, and that Arsenal, according to reports, have already had a £15m bid turned down for the 25-year-old.
This was countered by his agent, Joao Santos, though. Who said ““Arsenal? No one has contacted me,” Santos told Radio CRC.
“Jorginho is fine in Naples, it is obvious that some managers have taken an interest in him, but my client has only Napoli in the sights for this year, and his goal is to do better than last year.
“The more time passes, the more difficult it is for the player to move.
“There is no release clause in his contract. If there comes a club with so much money and [club president Aurelio] De Laurentiis is interested in the figure offered, [he] will sell him.”
