Arsenal in pole postion to sign £36m midfielder
The midfielder has been one of the stand out performers in the French league, ever since he joined Nice from Pacos de Ferreira in the summer of 2015.
Last season, the 25-year-old enjoyed an exceptional campaign for his side, where he scored seven goals and provided nine assists, helping Nice on their way to an impressive 3rd place finish in Ligue 1, behind runners-up Paris Saint-Germain and winners Monaco.
Now Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger wants to add him to his recent transfer surge, having already nabbed goal-grabber Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon for a club transfer record of £45m plus add ons.
The French boss will face stiff competition, though, with clubs Tottenham Hotspur, Swansea and Roma also interested in the midfielder.
It is suggested, however, that the Gunners are in pole position to sign the Ligue 1 star.
