'Joke', 'Ridiculous', fans react to Ronaldo and Messi out of Ballon d'Or top 3

Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are going to miss out on the top three for the Ballon d'Or. Several reports in France, in fact, claim that the likes of Raphael Varane, Luka Modric and Kylian Mbappé will be named as the best three players of 2018.

Messi and Ronaldo have always made the Ballon d'Or top three in the last 11 years. This would be the end of an era although not every football fan agree with the reported decision to eliminate 'La Pulga' and CR7 from the podium of the award.

Many football fans around the web have complained for the decision that, however, has not been made official yet.

Most of them believe the decision of not including the legendary duo in the best players of the year affects the credibility of the award. The angriest fans, of course, are those of Juventus who believed Ronaldo would lift the Ballon d'Or in his new stadium this coming January.
