Revealed: what Ancelotti told Napoli players ahead of Liverpool trip

Today’s edition of Il Mattino reveals what Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti told his lads ahead of their trip to Liverpool where they will be battling it out for a spot in the Champions League round of 16. “We’ll need hot heart and cold blood”, Ancelotti said Napoli players.

Ancelotti is reported to be as ‘very optimistic’ about the result in Liverpool where Napoli can either draw or win to get their pass for the last 16 stage. Napoli could also qualify with a defeat but only in case PSG fail to win in Belgrade against Red Star. Not likely.

Ancelotti – writes Il Mattino – believes Napoli can leave Anfield Road with a good result. It would be normal for him, not special. He is convinced that Napoli are a strong team and can create troubles in Liverpool. The former Chelsea boss is trying to inspire and spread his optimism through the dressing room of Napoli.
