Marotta could help Inter sign Juventus target

Would-be Inter Milan chief Beppe Marotta is reportedly set to give stiff competition to his former side Juventus in an attempt to sign Fiorentina starlet Federico Chiesa.

Chiesa has been a target for many top Serie A clubs over the past few months, along with Roma and Napoli too.

The 21-year-old is set to be the centre of more attention from Juventus and Inter, with Marotta now having changed sides and set to hand the nerazzurri with more momentum in a possible deal, say Tuttosport

Marotta would try to use his good relations with the La Viola director of football Pantaleo Corvino, but Fabio Paratici also has good relations with the 68-year-old.

Juventus will look to launch an offer of 50 million euros and would include a player in the possible deal too. Marko Pjaca could be allowed to join Fiorentina on a permanent basis or Ricardo Orsolini could be offered to the La Viola.

The bianconeri are in the driving seat for Chiesa currently, but Inter and Marotta won't go away easily.

Chiesa has appeared in 13 Serie A games for Fiorentina, scoring twice and assisting twice.
