Golden boot race: Messi and Ronaldo in top 10, Quagliarella the surprise

Lionel Messi defends the Golden Boot title, after receiving his fifth award last season. The Argentine is currently third in the table of European top scorers with 15 goals, which give him 30 points (each goal worth two points). He is only one point away from Leader Liliu, the Brazilian striker playing in Estonia's Nomme Kalju, who has 31 goals, but in more than twice as many games as Messi.

Each goal in the Estonian league is worth one point, while in the five major leagues (Spain, England, Italy, Germany and France) each goal is worth two points. In countries like Portugal or Turkey, each goal is equal to 1.5 points.

After Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, the striker who completes the podium of players from the big leagues is Kylian Mbappe with 13 goals and 26 points, although tied to goals and points with Aubameyang, Piatek, Kane and Salah. Here is the top 20:
