Exclusive: Here is how AC Milan will revamp their midfield in the summer, Bakayoko unlikely to be part of it
There is a chance that Milan miss out on Champions League this season and we understand that the club is planning to make multiple changes to its current midfield.
The only two players who are immovable pieces of the project are Lucas Paqueta and Giacomo Bonaventura. The club sees as them as players who can carry them into the Champions League soon.
Lucas Biglia already has offers from Boca Juniors and also has multiple injury issues. Milan are open to selling the Argentine if good offers arrive. If they don't, they will be happy to keep him and Biglia will be happy to stay too.
For Franck Kessie, Milan would be willing to sell the midfielder if they receive an offer of above 40 million euros as that will help them make a profit out of the deal that saw them sign the Ivorian. Arsenal, Tottenham and West Ham remain interested.
Tiemoue Bakayoko has impressed on the pitch, but his off field activities have let him down. Gattuso, Paolo Maldini and Leonardo like the player but for the fee of 35 million euros that they have to pay to Chelsea, they won't do it.
The rossoneri will pursue midfield targets in the summer, primarily. Alfred Duncan and Stefano Sensi are top targets and so is Sergey Milinkovic-Savic from Lazio.
Amadou Diawara is also an option along with Lorenzo Pellegrini. They have been monitoring Nicolo Barella for a while but Inter are leading the race for him currently.
