Everton interested in move for top Roma forward
According to Radio Sarajevo, Ronald Koeman wants to bring Edin Dzeko to Everton. The English club is on alert to find a replacement for the outgoing Romelu Lukaku, who was just sold to Manchester United. From Rome, the Toffees find the Bosnian central forward as an important piece in their starting lineup, and have enquired about the player.
After a strong season with the Giallorossi under Spalletti, it would seem that Roma would be reluctant to lose their leading goalscorer. Incoming coach Di Francesco plays a 4-3-3 formation that would suit Dzeko as the lone forward, thus making the big man difficult to replace. Following the return of Wayne Rooney to the club, Everton will want to solidify their attack as they attempt another run towards the Premier League title. Dzeko was Serie A’s leading goalscorer with 29 tallies on the year, and is valued in the 20-15 million EUR region.
