Despite rumours of a contract renewal until 2021, 31-year-old Brazilian winger Willian may still leave Chelsea before the end of the season. The former Shakhtar Donetsk forward’s contract with the London club expires next June and the possibility of the player leaving in January is appearing to be more likely. Willian has only played 55 minutes so far this season for Frank Lampard’s Chelsea in the club’s opening three games of the Premier League, with Lampard preferring a younger squad.
