Bonaventura undergoes surgery, set to be out for 8-9 months
Bonaventura sustained an injury earlier this month and was ruled out of action for a considerable amount of time. The rossoneri have now confirmed that the Italian has undergone a surgery in the United States.
A statement on the official Milan website said: "AC Milan announces that Giacomo Bonaventura underwent surgery on the osteochondral lesion of his left knee. Today's cartilage repair procedure, carried out in Pittsburgh by the surgeons Volker Musahl and Freddie Fu in the presence of the AC Milan medical staff, was successful and the recovery time is estimated in 8/9 months."
