Barcelona to pay Griezmann release clause, deal close, all the details
Griezmann has been linked with a move to Barcelona for a long time now and he ended up staying at the Wanda Metropolitano last summer. Before that, Atletico's transfer ban helped them keep hold of the Frenchman from Manchester United.

Romano understands that Barca are very much willing to trigger Griezmann's release clause of 125 million euros and talks are already ongoing for the Catalans to sign the French forward.
Before this, Marca had stated that Griezmann has told Atletico that he wants to leave the club in the summer. During a meeting with Diego Simeone and Miguel Angel Gil Marin, Griezmann informed the club of his decision to depart for Barcelona.
In the meeting, Griezmann also thanked Atletico for everything they did to develop the former Real Socieded man.
