AC Milan news: Leonardo’s plan to sign Spanish midfielders – the details
Milan have been struggling with injuries to key players like Giacomo Bonaventura but could sign an addition midfielder in January to help Gattuso and the current squad. Fabregas’ Chelsea contract expires in 2019 and, as has been reported, he wants to play more football once again.
Chelsea would be willing to let Fabregas leave in January for a rather modest sum of around €12m but Milan could choose to wait till the summer and sign him on a free transfer. Milan will likely attempt for Fabregas in January and, if they fail, possibly move to sign Denis Suarez from Barcelona on loan.
