Zamparini: Juventus, Allegri are "ruining Dybala"

Maurizio Zamparini is up to his old tricks again, providing journalists with interesting comments and fans with entertainment.

This time, Dybala's current club, Juventus, and manager Massimiliano Allegri are the object of Zampa's ire, accused of misusing summer signing Paulo Dybala.

Brought in from Palermo for a hefty €32 million, Dybala has found himself on the bench more often than not lately, and Zamparini claims he knows where the fault lies.

“Allegri is ruining Dybala. Paulo is football, not the coach,” he told Radio Sportiva.

“Paulo needs to be allowed to play and express himself like a great talent would, such as Messi.”

“I don’t think Juventus are completely sure what they want to do”.

It would be unjust to include Dybala in the Bianconeri blame game following a poor start from the Old Lady. Juventus currently sit 14th (four places from relegation) with only 9 points, half the total boasted by first-place Fiorentina.

The young Argentine star has already contributed three goals (including two penalties) to Juventus’ Serie A kitty, and has certainly played better than fellow signings Simone Zaza and Mario Mandzukic.

Zamparini then revealed that Inter Milan manager Roberto Mancini was very keen indeed on his former protégé.

“If this [treatment] continues, I recommend he leaves.

“Arsenal, Barca, Inter and Milan would welcome him with open arms. Mancini tried everything to have him, but Juventus were stronger financially”.

Finally, the Palermo owner had some, er, curious takes on what is going on in the Turinese dressing room:

“I think there’s a lot of envy of him [in the squad], it’s happened to others in the past.”

From a team that has just won four Serie A titles in a row, and arguably outplayed Barcelona for much of last year’s Champions League final, that seems a tad unlikely…
