Will Marcelo Bielsa ever arrive to Lazio?
The Argentinean manager was thought to have agreed a move to Lazio and was rumoured to be heading to Roma’s Fiumicino airport yesterday to begin a new adventure in Serie A.
Trobule is, Bielsa did not show up and might not even do it tomorrow. In the meantime, Lazio’s pre-season training camp was supposed to begin yesterday as well. The players reached the club’s training ground Formello but the first training session of the season was cancelled because Bielsa and the rest of his coaching tem are still not in Rome.
With Gerardo Martino who has just handed his resignation as Argentina national team boss, the albiceleste fans want Bielsa to be appointed again as the team’s head coach and rumours from South America suggest Bielsa is pondering a return on the bench of Argentina.
At the same time French media reports Bielsa might be open to return to his old club Marseille. What’s sure is that if Bielsa won’t get his working visa in the Italian embassy of Buenos Aires today, he won’t be arriving to Italy tomorrow leaving Lazio with no manager at the eve of a new campaign.
Lazio have yet to announce the appointment of Bielsa whilst Salernitana, a Lega Pro club controlled by Lazio owner Claudio Lotito, have not announced the appointment of Simone Inzaghi which means the next biancocelesti might not be 'El Loco' Bielsa.
