Who is Moise Kean, the first millennial to make Serie A debut

Moise Kean made his Serie A debut with Juventus yesterday night coming off the bench in the 84th minute and becoming the youngest player to make his first league appearance with the Old Lady. With 16 years, eight months and 21 days, Kean broke the record of Renato Buso (16 years, nine months, 26 days) who had been the youngest player to make Serie A debut with Juventus, until yesterday night.

Kean has also became the first millennial to play in Italy’s top flight, but which are his plans for the future? Many European clubs are being scouting him: Manchester City and Arsenal are the most interested clubs but Juventus are negotiating a contract extension with the player’s agent Mino Raiola.

Serie A clubs can’t offer deals longer than three years to player who are as young as Kean and that’s exactly how much Juventus have offered to their starlet, including a salary of € 1 million a year. Kean is blazing a trail with the Primavera team, despite being underage.

He has five goals in as much games with Juventus’ youth team and managed 24 goals in 26 games with the U-17 squad last term.

Giuseppe Marotta claimed yesterday night that he hopes Kean will remain at the club because he’s in the best club for him at the moment, even if he added that the player’ economical concerns might push him out of the club.

“Money is not everything and his agent should make him think. I hope Raiola is not taking him away even if we don’t know who the official agent is. He should be proud of playing for Juventus, the best club for him at the moment, but if he has economic concerns, than the situation is different.”
