Valencia suspend Inter, Arsenal target Sofiane Feghouli

Valencia have suspended Algerian winger Sophiane Feghouli for an undetermined period of time, the La Liga side have revealed through their official website.

Valencia Club de Fútbol have decided to open a disciplinary procedure involving player SofianeFeghouli.
During the processing of said procedure, and awaiting the resolution of the matter, the player will be suspended as a cautionary measure, in accordance with the current convention between the AFE and Liga de Fútbol Profesional”, the statement reads.

But why has Valencia’s new manager Paco Ayestaran decided to suspend the talented winger?

Feghouli had travelled to Paris on his day off last week, but was late for the following day’s training session. Ayestaran punished the player benching him in Valencia’s 2-1 win over Sevilla FC, but the worst had yet to come.

Feghouli refused to undergo a training session alongside his teammates after the Sevilla clash, causing the club’s and manager’s reaction.

Feghouli runs out of contract in the summer, which means he could already sign a new agreement with any other club and move there for nothing at the beginning of the 2016-17 campaign.

Inter and Arsenal are keeping tabs on the 26-year-old Algeria International, thought the Nerazzurri have put talks on hold after that the player’s agent had asked  an additional cash bonus to complete his client’s move.
