Three reasons why Roberto Mancini could leave Inter at the end of the season
“Contract renewal talks are still premature”, the 51-year-manager told the journalists.
“We need to think about the present, then, you know, when a contract expires….”
What's the meaning behind these words? Is Mancini saying that he’ll renew with the Nerazzurri or not?
Another reason that could see Mancini leaving Inter at the end of the current campaign is that the club’s n.1 target for this season if qualifying for the Champions League and if the Italian gaffer will get at least the a third placement in Serie A, he could leave the club as ‘a winner’ and with no regrets.
One last reason that could lead Mancini out of San Siro next summer is the manager's close link with the English Premier League.
During the famous interview in which he accused his counterpart Napoli boss Sarri of making homophobic slurs, Mancini said that if something similar would have happened in England, “Sarri would have never coached again.”
A way to point out the distance between the English and the Italian mentality and, maybe, to suggest which would be his preferred destination, should he leave the San Siro at the end of the current season.
