Sources: Juve target Dahoud available for just € 10m at the end of the season
Witsel can move to the J Stadium in January, if the bianconeri find economic agreement with the club, otherwise his arrival will be postponed to the beginning of the 2017-18 campaign.
Rodrigo Bentancur should arrive in January from Boca Juniors, but the Uruguayan starlet is yet not considered ready to be a regular starter at the J Stadium and will be sent out on loan to another Serie A club.
Our reporter Nicola Balice has exclusively found out that Juventus are being scouting Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud who has the same age as Bentancur, but has been playing in a top European league and is considered ready to be part of the bianconeri squad.
Now, Dahoud is not in the form of his life this season. He’s not getting regular game time and is also struggling when he’s actually deployed. There are multiple reasons behind the 20-year-old’s ‘crisis’, the main one is that new contract talks have been put on hold by the player who is not willing to extend his stay at the club after June 2018.
The club, on the other hand is pushing to make Dahoud sign a new contract as there is a clause in his deal that allows the player to leave the Bundesliga side for just € 10 million from the 1st on July 2017.
Juventus have made contact with Monchengladbach to know whether they can sign the player at a higher price than the summer release clause. The two parties are in talks and the Old Lady hopes to beat competition of other European clubs which are also keeping tabs on the promising midfielder.
