Sassuolo lead the race to sign Lapadula. What Berardi wants is....

Napoli are in danger of missing out on another key summer target. After the refusals of Davy Klaassen, Sime Vrsaljko and Piotr Zielinski, also Gianluca Lapadula could turn down a move to Napoli to join Sassuolo.

According to today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, The neroverdi have offered € 8.5 million to Pescara hoping to seal the player’s transfer. Lapadula is not enthusiastic about the opportunity of doing a Gabbiadini and becoming Gonzalo Higuain’s back-up at the San Paolo and would rather prefer joining Sassuolo where he might be given more game time.

The Italian newspaper is also reporting that Sassuolo will try to keep Berardi at the club. The Italian starlet is still not convinced of signing with Juventus and would prefer to play Europa League with Sassuolo. Inter are keeping tabs on him and are also interested in Francesco Acerbi and Alfred Duncan, also belonging to Sassuolo. The nerazzurri are ready to offer Ranocchia, Santon, Dodo, Puscas or Manaj in any negotiation involving any of the three Sassuolo stars.
