Roma, Totti: "I want to play against Lazio & it won't be my last derby"

Francesco Totti is not ready to say goodbye to football at the end of the season. Surprising people is what he does best and after advice from many ex-professionals that he should consider carefully before finally hanging up his boots, the 40-year-old has been talking to Sportweek. Speaking of next weekend’s derby against Lazio, Totti explained that; “I want to play in this game and also against Milan and Juve before the Christmas break. The derby used to be a great occasion; people arriving so early to put the banners around the stadium. Now from what I read, both Curva’s will be empty and we must find a solution to this problem”.

About whether he really though he would be fit to make the squad he replied; “If it was left to me I’d play but ultimately, it’s not my decision. What’s important is to win the game with or without me. People say this may be my last chance to play in the derby but as I’ve stated in the past, If I’m well, I could continue playing and I’m not joking”.
