REVEALED What will Juve do now that Draxler wants to leave Wolfsburg?
“I want to leave the club, I already told the ownership two days after the Euro 2016 semi-final. Last summer, both Coach Dieter Hecking and director of sport Klaus Allofs gave me verbal assurances that I could have left if a top international club wanted me”.
According to CM's sources, Juventus' summit with German agency Rogon didn't just include a conversation about Luiz Gustavo, but also one about Wolfsburg playmaker Julian Draxler.
Fabio Paratici has been a fan of his for many years, and came very close to bringing him to Turin last year. That said, the German international is not considered a priority, as Croatian Marko Pjaca has already joined.
The former Schalke man shown that he is capable of playing behind the strikers, and on the wing again. He could even induce Max Allegri to change formations.
If they did want to sign him, however, they'd need to spend at least €50 million, with the Wolves spending €34m on him last season. Though the Bianconeri could throw long-term target Simone Zaza into the deal – Wolfsburg have always liked him, after all.
