Red Alert Juve: Manchester United on Herrera
According to Fichajes.net, Manchester United have joined the race to sign Mexican midfielder Hector Herrera. The 26-year-old Porto player was strongly linked with a move to Napoli during the summer but stayed in Portugal with the club he signed for back in 2013.
Recent reports stated that Juventus had added Herrera to their list of potential midfield reinforcements for January, as the search for Paul Pogba’s successor continues. Now it’s the turn of the Red Devils to be linked with a possible move as new boss Jose Mourinho continues to build the team to fit his style of play.
Herrera has made nearly 90 appearances for Mourinho’s former employers and has also produced some eye-catching performances for his country recently, which has led to a race to try to secure his signature. It’s unlikely that the bianconeri will want to enter a bidding war to try to bring the player to Turin, but it seems that will have to move fast if they want to beat off the competition.
