Real Madrid: here's the offer to Juve & Manchester United target Pepe
The contract of Real Madrid defender Pepe expires in the summer and despite the advances of both Juventus and Manchester United, the 33-year-old has the desire to remain at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The Portuguese international has asked Los Blancos for a two-year extension to his current deal but reports in Marca today, suggest that the Spanish giants are only interested in giving the player a one-year contract.
Juve have had a great record in recent seasons of picking up top-quality players on free transfers and the Euro 2016 winner was the latest name to be linked to a move. His fellow countryman at Old Trafford, Jose Mourinho, already dismayed by some of the defensive howlers his players have made this season, has admitted that he intends to re-shape his back-line and the versatile Brazilian born defender was even reported to be a January target for “The Special One”.
Both Manchester and Turin await with interest, the developments in the coming weeks.
