PAPER TALK: Pogba wants Man Utd switch, Arsenal to make official offer for Icardi
The offer to the club is believed to be around € 125 million, though Juventus will try to raise the bar as Pogba is entitled to get the 20% of the sale’s incomes.
The French ace walked the opposite path four years ago when he moved from the Old Trafford to the J Stadium as a free agent.
ICARDI-ARSENAL
No secret that Mauro Icardi is a long time target of Arsenal. The Gunners are looking to signing a new forward and Arsen Wenger has turned his attention on the highly-rated Argentinean striker who has asked Inter a new contract with a salary in line with his importance at the club.
According to today’s edition of Il Corriere dello Sport, the Gunners are ready to table an offer of € 50 million to Inter and a € 6 million-a -year salary to the 23-year-old striker who has netted 52 goals in 105 games with Inter since joining the club in 2013.
Wanda Nara will meet the Gunners’ representatives next week to listen to their offer and inform Inter about the Premier League giants’ interest.
The nerazzurri don’t want to sell Icardi but, at the same time, they are not open to extend his contract as Icardi signed the last contract extension just 12 months ago.
AMOYAL: How Higuain and Icardi’s futures could have a domino effect on Arsenal’s transfer market
On the other side of Milan, the rossoneri are having problems with closing the Musacchio deal. AC Milan are ready to meet Villareal’s € 25 million asking price after reaching agreement with the player.Trouble is, AC Milan can’t close the deal because they have no money available as Berlusconi is negotiating the club’s sale to a Chinese consortium and is not going to invest his own money like he did last summer when a deal with Thai broker Bee Taechaubol seemed close to be done.
Musacchio has informed the Serie A side that he expects them to close the deal by today, otherwise he will enter transfer talks with other clubs with Tottenham that are believed to be one of the most interested clubs in welcoming the services of the 25-year-old centre back.
