There are reports out of England via The Mirror, that Torino midfielder Afriyie Acquah could likely be heading to the Premier League this summer. The 25 year old Ghanaian midfielder has attracted strong interest from Newcastle United, who are said to be ‘90 percent complete’ for a deal for the player.

The Torino midfielder featured for the Serie A side in 20 games this season, starting in 13 of those appearances (but also missed a section of games due to African Cup of Nations). Often noted as an athletic and hardworking midfielder with a keen passing and technical ability that allows him to play in the center of the midfield, the lure of England seems to have captured Acquah. The Granata club paid nearly 3 million EUR to get the player from Hoffenheim in 2015, and will want to get at least that figure in return for the Ghanaian international.
