Mario Balotelli named in Italy provisional squad for World Cup qualifiers
Sky Italia reports that Balotelli has received Italy national team call up making the azzurri’s provisional squad for the incoming World Cup qualifiers against Spain and Macedonia.
The former Liverpool and AC Milan flop, however, could eventually not make it into Ventura’s 23-man squad as his call-up in the provisional team is a bureaucratic procedure that Italian FA has to follow if the coach wants to call a player under contract with a foreign club.
That is, however, the first formal step that could see Mario Balotelli back to Italy national team.
