Lulic at risk of ten-match ban for racist abuse
If the Federal Prosecutor will find the 30-year-old defender guilty of racist abuse, Lulic could face a ten-match ban. Lazio hope that their player will only be found guilty of breaching the ‘principles of honesty and fairness’ and face a shorter ban.
Former Atalanta midfielder Alberto Grassi was suspended for ten matches in 2014 when he used a racist expression towards one of his opponents in the pitch and Lulic could be handed a similar ban if he’s accused of racist abuse. The press office of Lazio apologized for Lulic’s words yesterday night, but that may not be enough to avoid a long ban for the Bosnian footballer.
