Juventus’ midfielder shortlist for the post-Pogba era

Juventus have just rejected Manchester United’s opening bid for Paul Pogba. The Premier League giants had offered € 101 million, but the Old Lady is understood to be asking € 125 million plus bonuses for the 23-year-old midfielder who joined the club on a free transfer just four years ago.

Pogba, however, has reportedly informed his club that he wants to move to the Old Trafford this summer, which mean an agreement between the two parties could only be a matter of time.

Here you can have a look at the midfielders Juventus are planning to make an offer for in case Pogba leaves the club.

    MARCELO BROZOVIC
Probably Juventus’ priority. Marotta and Paratici know that convincing Inter to sell the Croatia International will be nothing easy. The player’s price-tag is somewhere around € 30-35 million and the bianconeri have already made contract with the player’s entourage before entering transfer talks with the nerazzurri. Brozovic would be the second player that Juventus sign from a direct Serie A rival after completing the signing of Miralem Pjanic.

    AXEL WITSEL

Probably the easiest target at the moment. Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri had blocked his arrival at the San Paolo and the Belgium International is still under contract with Zenit, but will definitely find a new club in the current transfer window. Juventus can sign him for € 25 million offering the player a salary in the region of € 3 million a year. He’s not a priority for the Serie A club that want to make attempts for other players before trying to sign him. Juventus are still in contact with the player’s agent who has informed Marotta and Paratici that Witsel wants to move to the J Stadium.

    LUCAS BIGLIA

The perfect player to place in front of the defence waiting for the return of Claudio Marchisio who is not going to return to the pitch before mid October. Juventus have asked information to Lazio about the Argentina International, though an official negotiation has not begun yet.

Antonio Conte is considering the player’s position at the Stamford Bridge and could decide to keep him at the club if he continues impressing in the preseason trainings. His price-tag is believed to be around € 25 million, the player is sill up for sale. According to Sky Italia, the player wants to leave Chelsea.

    MOUSSA SISSOKO

The French International has recently revealed that he prefers a move to the Premier League, but has not rejected the opportunity to join a top European club like Juventus. Newcastle could be open to sell the 26-year-old on a loan deal with option to buy set to € 25 million. The Magpies have received offers in the region of € 18 million from other clubs interested in buying the player to permanent deal, but the offer is still not enough for the Championship club.
