Juventus deny Higuain death threats report

Juventus have denied that Gonzalo Higuain has received death threats and that he’s under 24/7 surveillance since two weeks, Tuttosport reports.

The Argentinean striker is said to be worried for his safety following death threats that he has recently received but the Old Lady has denied yesterday’s report of Italian gossip paper Novella 2000.

Despite netting nine goals in the opening 17 games of the season, Higuain has been harshly criticized by Argentinean fans who are left disappointed by the striker’s performances with his national team and the reported death threats are said to have added more cause for concern for the former Napoli striker.

Higuain is currently out of action with a muscle injury but could return to action next week-end when the Old Lady travels to Genoa to face the grifone at the Stadio Marassi.

The 28-year-old striker has not released any comment over the alleged death threats at the moment.
