Juventus dealt double injury blow in Serie A defeat to Genoa

Juventus were left shocked by Genoa on Sunday evening as the grifone stunned the Old Lady with a surprising  and deserved 3-1 win. The bianconeri allowed three goals in the first half with two of them came courtesy of Diego Simeone’s son Giovanni but bad news for Max Allegri are not only brought by today’s result.

Juventus star Leonardo Bonucci and Dani Alves both left the pitch after picking up two different injuries and their conditions will be monitored over the next few days.

The Italian defender left the pitch in the 33rd minute with a muscle injury and was replaced by Daniele Rugani who had been surprisingly left out of Juventus starting XI with Dani Alves playing in place of the promising Italian centre-back in Juventus’ three-man defence.

The Brazilian defender also sustained an injury which could be even more serious than Bonucci’s given that the former Barça man was stretched off in the second half after a hard challenge by Genoa winger Ocampos.

Juventus are expected to release a medical bulletin on both players in the next few hours.
