Juventus blow as Liverpool star Emre Can chooses his next club
- Kaustubh Pandey
Can, currently 23, has become an important player for Jurgen Klopp over the past two seasons but his current deal at Anfield is set expire at the end of the season, after which he can be purchased for free.
Juventus, who had been linked with Can over the past few months, feel that they are likely to see the German head to Manchester City and believe that the lure of playing under Pep Guardiola would be too much for him to ward off.
It is unlikely that Can pens a new deal at Anfield before the contract runs out at the end of the season, with Liverpool still looking to tempt the midfielder into putting pen to paper on a new deal.
Can has made 13 appearances in all competitions for the Reds, scoring once and racking up a tally of two assists.
