Inter target Dimitri Payet praised by Roberto Mancini
Talking to L’Equipe ahead of tonight’s clash between France and Germany, Roberto Mancini has included the 29-year-old offensive midfielder in the France-Germany combined XI preferring the France International over his Germany counterpart Mesut Ozil.
“I’d pick Payet. Ozil has more international experience, but Payet can make the difference and knows how to do it. I followed him at West Ham last term and that was the best season of his career; he’s at the top of his form.”
Payet scored 12 goals and registered 15 assists in 38 games with the Hammers last term and the Premier League club’s co-owner David Gold has recently revealed that it will be very difficult to keep the Frenchman at West Ham next season.
