If rumours are to be believed, Frank de Boer has a decisive weekend ahead of him as he attempts to save his Inter career so early in the season. Sunday’s derby d’Italia against Juventus could see the trap door open for the Dutchman and a change made at the helm.
 

Recent reports suggest that Fabio Capello has already been contacted and is ready to step into the breach although Tuttosport claims that Cesare Prandelli cannot be underestimated as one of the frontrunners for the role. De Boer however, still has a trump card to play despite Thursday’s woeful defeat to Hapoel Beer Sheva.  

De Boer seems like a man steering a rudderless ship. He looks as though he simply is a manager, not a coach guiding his team through these choppy waters. La Gazzetta dello Sport has a solution to his problem; bring in playing legend Javier Zanetti to work alongside him despite the Argentine’s desire to see compatriot Diego Simeone in charge of his beloved club. Suning will make the final decision of course, but first, de Boer has to try to grab something positive Sunday’s big game.
