    From Spain: Doubts surrounding the age of Renato Sanches. He may be 24 not 18

    On the home page of Spanish sports newspaper As, there are claims that new Bayern Munich signing Renato Sanches may not be as young as people think. The portal states that legendary French coach Guy Roux has thrown doubts surrounding the Portuguese international when he declared on Dolce Sport that; “He says he’s 18, but I think you should look at the past. His date of birth was declared years after as it was never originally indicated to the registry. I can assure you that he is 23-24 years old”.

    Renato Sanches joined Bayern Munich recently for €35 million plus another €45 million that could possibly go to his former club Benfica depending on appearances, club objectives etc. His birth certificate is dated August 18 1997 but As backs up Roux’s claims that this was not entered for five years due to a delay thanks to the separation of his parents.
