    Francesco Totti hints at coaching career, revealed he almost joined another Serie A club

    Francesco Totti has hint at a possible future as coach as he’s set to end is playing career at the end of the season.

    The 40-year-old striker has released an interview with Il Corriere dello Sport and here’s what he told the Italian paper.

    “I am fit, I am playing and let’s see how long it lasts. I’d like to help Roma in the future. Many of my old teammates started a coaching career so...who knows?”

    “When I was a child, I used to play football from 2pm to 8pm, every day, all year long. In my bedroom there was a poster of Giannini. Walls were all red and yellow, it looked like the Curva Sud.”

    “In 1997, I went close to joining Sampdoria, then I scored in a game against Ajax and the at the time president Franco Sensi asked me to stay. When we won the scudetto a few years later, people went literally mad.”
