EXCLUSIVE Romano: Inter, the strategy for Candreva
AC Cm.com’s transfer pundit Fabrizio Romano reports, Piero Ausilio had offered € 18 million last January, but Lazio refused all kind of approaches for their 29-year-old star.
With Roberto Mancini in desperate need of a new right winger for the 2016-17 campaign, the Italian tactician has put the former Parma, Censena and Juventus man on top of his wish-list and Inter have a specific strategy to try to sign Candreva in the summer.
The first step to open transfer talks with Lazio would be convincing the player to go to Claudio Lotito asking the president to leave the Olimpico. Candreva is also a target of AC Milan and some foreign clubs and voicing the desire of leaving his current club would only help nerazzurri’s negotiations.
Trouble is, Ausilio does not want to offer more than € 20 million. In addition, due to FFP rules, Inter would only be able to pay the player’s price-tag in two instalments, while Lazio would only agree on the player’s sale for an offer in the region of € 30 million with no instalment payments.
Closing a deal will be nothing easy, but Inter would still make an attempt to sign Candreva in the summer.
