EXCLUSIVE: Here’s when Higuain’s € 94 million release clause expires

Juventus want to sign Gonzalo Higuain. The Old Lady has found agreement with the Argentinean striker who has verbally agreed terms with the bianconeri.

Higuain’s Napoli contract runs until 2018 but the player’s agent has already informed Napoli that Higuain won’t be extending his stay at the San Paolo signing a new deal. Napoli are open to sell Higuain...but only for his release fee which is set to € 94 million.

Juventus could either decide to make a cash offer (€ 74 million) plus Roberto Pereyra or trigger Higuain’s release clause after that EXOR has given the green light to make a big investment for the striker.

Sources have exclusively told calciomerato.com that Higuain’s release clause expires at the end of the month, on the 31st of July 2016.

In addition, the release clause can be paid in two instalments (€ 47 million each): the first half has to be paid in the current transfer window, the second one in one year time.

Higuain netted 36 goals in 35 Serie A games last term becoming the all time’s best Serie A scorer.
