EXCLUSIVE: Details of Yuto Nagatomo’s new deal with Inter revealed
The player’s agent Roberto Tsukuda will land in Italy next week to meet the club’s representatives alongside Federico Pastorello, who’s the middleman in negotiations between the two parties.
The player’s entourage have asked a three-year deal, though Inter are expected to offer a new two-year contract with an option to extend for one more season.
Roberto Mancini considers the 29-year-old defender a mainstay as well as a great pro, that’s why the Italian tactician doesn’t want to lose Nagatomo.
Inter’s president Erik Thohir is also well aware of Nagatomo’s importance for the club, also in terms of merchandising as his presence in the team is vital for developing Inter’s brand in Asia.
The former Cesena defender has 20 seasonal appearances and at the moment is the only wingback who’s sure to stay at the club also in the 2016-17 campaign.
