Exclusive: Arsenal star offered to Inter, but...

Arsenal star Mesut Ozil has been offered to Inter, our transfer pundit Fabrizio Romano reports. The Germany International will see his contract expire in June and Arsenal have yet to make the right offer to extend the player’s deal.

Inter are looking for an attacking midfielder who can help the team to improve its style but Ozil is way too expensive for any Italian club.

The player is on a € 7 million-a-year deal at Arsenal and is looking for an even better agreement. Inter can’t match the player’s economic requests just like any other Italian club.

Intermediaries close to the player, in fact, have also offered Ozil to other top Serie A clubs but neither of them want to pay as much for the player’s salary.

Reports in England suggest Inter could consider a swap deal involving Ozil and Joao Mario. According to our sources, however, Spalletti does not want to sell Joao Mario and Inter want to keep him in January unless they receive an ‘insane’ offer.
