Dzeko: 'If I was a top player, I wouldn't play for Roma'

As Roma striker Edin Dzeko told the Corriere dello Sport: “My future is here, the rest is just speculation. I am focused on doing my job, if I wanted to leave, I was going to do it in January. I work, them it will be up to Spalletti to decide if I will play or not. Mourinho? Of course I would like to work with him, but I am a Roma player.”

“The criticism? It’s normal when you don’t play well”, he added. “I don’t understand the up and down you have in Italy. If I was a player who could score 50 goals per season, probably I was going to cost €80 million, and I wouldn’t be at Roma. Pjanic? I came here also because of him, but I knew we were not going to play together for ever. I understand the rivalry with Juve, but… he didn’t join Lazio!”
