CM EXCLUSIVE Romano: Juve want Diawara

Giuseppe Marotta and Fabio Paratici are always on the lookout for new talent. Having brought in the likes of Paul Pogba, Kingsley Coman and Mario Lemina in recent years, Juventus’ transfer market gurus seems to have set their sights on another young central midfielder.

According to Fabrizio Romano’s EXCLUSIVE report for cm.com, the Old Lady would be looking to add another young star in Bologna’s Amadou Diawara.

The 18-year-old impressed Delio Rossi so much during the summer that he has now played in every single game for the Felsinei. Recently, his trip to Turin’s beautiful Juventus Stadium for Bologna’s 4-1 defeat saw the young Guinean visibly overcome with emotion, having made a dream of his come true.

According to Romano, he could be playing at the Stadium a whole lot more if he keeps it up.

The talk during last summer’s window was that Juventus had already come to some sort of verbal agreement with Bologna for a €4-5 million deal for either 2016/2017.

We daresay this sum will spike if Diawara (who turned 18 in July) keeps playing at these levels. Only five Bologna players (including goalkeeper Antonio Mirante) have played more Serie A minutes than him (670) this season.

It’s not as if Juventus are the only dog in this hunt, however: the Bundesliga has come calling in the shape of Eintracht Frankfurt, whilst Roma and Fiorentina are also reportedly big fans.

Diawara has everything a young midfielder could wish to have to face the modern game: personality, physique, and a fearless streak when it comes to dictating play in the middle of the park.
Oh, and his hero happens to be a certain Yaya Toure.

One of Diawara’s firm friends in the Dall’Ara dressing room, fellow African jewel Godfred Donsah (who is barely 11 months older), is also being slated to make a move to Turin.

Can anyone imagine how scary a Turinese reunion would be?
