CM EXCLUSIVE: Mertens between Inter, the EPL and the renewal
A backup for Callejon for most of the season, Napoli winger Dries Mertens has had a great performances last night in Bologna, with three goals and one assist. The player’s agent Soren Lerby has already told the azzurri’s executive that his client is tired of sitting on the bench, and soon will meet the club’s president Aurelio De Laurentiis and his Sporting Director Cristiano Giuntoli.
Napoli would like the Belgium international to extend his contract until 2020, as their strategy is clear: Mertens will leave only if there will be an extremely important offer, especially if it will be an Italian club to ask for the former PSV man.
