- This is the first competitive encounter between Qarabag and Roma.

- Roma have also failed to keep a clean sheet in their last 21 away games in the Champions League. The last shut-out was in March 2007 against Lyon (2-0).
- Roma kept a clean sheet on matchday one despite conceding 10 shots on target against Atlético Madrid, which hadn’t happened in the Champions League since Cluj did the same against Sporting Braga in September 2012.
