Carlos Bacca ruled out of AC Milan’s next match

Carlos Bacca has been ruled out of AC Milan’s next Serie A game against Empoli, the rossoneri have announced through their official website.

According to the club’s report, Bacca, 30, suffered a muscle injury during last week-end’s Milan derby and is being forced to skip the incoming Serie A game against Empoli which is scheduled for Saturday night.

The Colombian striker is suffering a muscle injury at his the flexor of his right thigh and his conditions will be monitored again at the beginning of next week, the club have also announced.

Bacca is not in the form of his life as the former Sevilla star is going through a six-game goal drought, the longest time without scoring a goal since joining AC Milan in summer 2015.

Despite that, the 30-year-old has managed six goals in 13 games so far this season. Gianluca Lapadula is likely to replace the former target of West Ham against Empoli on Saturday night, whilst rumours are linking Bacca with a reunion with his former coach Unai Emery at PSG in the January window.
